• Took over major Konus energy system project plagued with poor safety record and fabrication errors. Conducted detailed diagnostic, analyzed problems, developed new schedules, and gained support of sub-contractors. Improved safety record and standard of work, and completed project on time within original budget.
  • Started and successfully managed construction company with 30 full-time staff and many more contract trades-people. Although in very high-risk industry, had zero time-loss injuries because devised rigging system that reduced time required to install Konus systems while increasing safety.
  • Extensive experience with difficult helicopter lifts.
  • Client project required 4 helicopter lifts to place equipment, trained staff in appropriate safety procedures and conducted lifts. A separate client fuel tank installation project in inaccessible mine site required everything to be transported by helicopters. Mine site client was so impressed with work and ability to creatively overcome difficulties that he expanded scope of job from $22,000 to $465,000.
  • Roof replacement project required 40,000 square feet of asbestos removal. Trained staff and managed removal.
  • Built and installed advanced Aero Ground systems tail docking maintenance systems for Boeing commercial jet liner maintenance.
  • New mill construction project required oversight of all aspect of project from development/design, through to construction and production.
  • Conducted internal survey with foremen prior to starting major mill-update. Discovered serious inadequacies in sub-structure that required major change in scope of work. Designed cost-effective steel-wood structure that met approval of both engineers and mill manager.
  • Created drop zones in mill in eight days when normally it takes three weeks. Assembled all crews and automated process using air-winches and other equipment to create top-quality, aesthetically pleasing flow.
  • Finished complete mill update in six weeks – two weeks ahead of schedule – in spite of major flaw in engineering specs. Incorporated mill crews into our crews to shorten their “off-the-job” time, and created cooperative working environment for all concerned
  • Under extreme time constraints, built three additions to an on-going facility without impeding production. Used creative approach that enabled us to build major portions before tying into old structure. Upon limited shutdown, totally replaced all machinery, operating floor, and waste-removal system.
  • Identified major flaw in elevation specifications for a mill update. Suggested cost-effective approach to providing appropriate fill and negotiated with heavy equipment operators to begin job next day. Worked seven days a week to bring elevation up to level, and still complete job on time and within budget.
  • Official certification to perform work in the country of Belize.
